At Blairsville Dance Project, we believe community involvement is of the utmost importance. Not only does it give us the opportunity to contribute to society, but it also shows our students how they can make a difference in the world.
In addition to involvement in community events, Relay For Life participation, our own Blairsville Dance Project Scholarship Fund and countless performances at fundraising events over the years, we are very excited to participate in a very important upcoming fundraiser, the “Dancing with the North Georgia Stars” event to support Enotah CASA. Since its inception in our area last year, Blairsville Dance has provided multiple “pros” and studio space for the practicing couples, because we believe strongly in this cause. The event will be held on Saturday, November 4, and our teachers are hard at work, as are the other couples, preparing for what is sure to be an amazing event! There are so many things to learn in dance class. Not only the technical aspects, such as body awareness and control, balance, and the ability to memorize choreography but also characteristics that help you in life, including confidence, the importance of hard work and teamwork. When you can combine the usual trademark lessons of dance class with also teaching children to better their world, it is the best combination!
