Blairsville Dance is excited to announce Mrs. Molly Brendle has been certified by Acrobatic Arts in their first ever Preschool AcroDance certification class! Molly joined others from across the United States at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas on July 29 for the training. After the initial training, Molly, along with Studio Director Angela Puleo attended additional dance teacher courses as part of the Dance Teacher Web conference, which as well as AcroDance, included classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, ballroom, musical theatre and preschool classes.
Post-event, Molly completed a certification exam covering skill building, safety and progressions, obtaining a score of 100%.
The Acrobatic Arts program teaches instructors about proper placement and technique so their students will have the building blocks to progress safely and quickly from one level to the next. The Acrobatic Arts Teacher Training and Certification course provided extensive, hands-on training in spotting and progression so teachers can implement a program which gives dancers more skills, while ensuring they are safe and less likely to develop chronic injuries.
Blairsville Dance is currently enrolling for a new Preschool AcroDance class, which will take place on Tuesdays from 4:00-4:30 p.m. beginning on September 10.
