If you missed Saturday’s Dancing with the North GA Stars event to benefit Enotah CASA, you missed a great event! After months of preparation, nine couples took to the stage at the Union County Fine Arts Center to compete in their chosen dance style.
I’m so proud of my partner Kris Berrong for his wonderful hip hop performance that won us the Mirror Ball trophy for the Judges Choice Award. Kris was an awesome partner and worked really hard to perfect some very complicated moves. The real champions, however, were Loretta Durden and Matthew Temples who raised over $10,000 for Enotah CASA, winning the People’s Choice Award! It was an honor sharing the stage with 8 other fantastic couples who all did an amazing job.
The event was fantastic, and I was so happy I got to share it with studio instructors Brett Taylor and Amy Williams, as well as the Blairsville Dance Force competition team who provided entertainment to open the show.
Congratulations to Enotah CASA for putting on such a great event, and most of all, thank you the community for raising over $40,000 to benefit this wonderful cause!
